About
The Golden Triangle Planning and Development District’s Human Services Department strives to bring and maintain independence in people's lives across the region. To support older adults and individuals with disabilities in staying in their homes, they manage the Medicaid Waiver program, which coordinates vital in-home care services as an alternative to institutional care. Through Personal Care Services, trained personnel assist individuals with essential daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and housekeeping. Additionally, the department operates Senior Enrichment Centers to provide retirees with a safe, active space for leisure and social connection, while administering the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) to deliver career training, job search assistance, and employment resources to the local workforce.
